קַוְועַד

קַוְועַד(= עוועד = ועועד, redupl. of ועד; as to ק for ע, v. letter ע, a. Nöld., Mand. Gr. p. 7 2) to appoint, make permanent. Ithpe. אִתְקַוְועַד, אִיקַּ׳ to be settled, remain. Targ. Prov. 10:30 נקווערון, read נִקְוַועֲדוּן (Var. ed. Lag., a. oth. ed. תקוועדון, read: יִתְקַוְועֲדוּן; ed. Lag. a. oth. יִתְוַועֲדוּן; h. text ישכנו).
